Crew Meet
The crew runs the show; no lines to learn, you get to dress in black and gossip on the comms. What's not to like? Crewing is so much fun, some people take small acting parts and crew too. Crew roles are listed below under Cast and Crew Commitments.

Crew Commitment
This is a guide to the level of commitment, based on task.  Please see important dates below.
[1] Sound Designer/Operator, Deputy Stage Manager (DSM), Director, Assistant Director(s), Musical Director: Sunday afternoons and Thursday evenings from the beginning of September to the performance dates. Production Meetings, Tech rehearsals and fit-ups as required.
[2] Set and Props Build and Paint Team: As required by the Team Manager.
[3] Stage Management (SM, ASM, Backstage Manager, Props Manager, Tabs ASM), Lighting (LX) Designer - Fitters - Operators, Tech Runners: Sunday afternoons and occasional other days [**] from 22nd November "Run-through" until the end of run.  
[**] [includes some Monday and Friday evenings, Saturday day times - see important dates, below.]
[4]  Child Chaperones (for under 12s): Sunday afternoon Tech and Dress rehearsals and performance times on a rota.
[5] Front of House Team: Production dates/as required to source items for sale.
[6] Box Office Admin, Front of House Manager, Build and Paint Team Manager, Producer, Voice Coach, Acting Coach, Choreographer: As required from the beginning of September until production.
[7] Costume, Hair, Make-up: Sundays from Run-through until production, and as required before then.

Thursday evenings (between 7.30 and 9.30 - tbc):
  • Sept 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th
  • Oct 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th
  • Nov 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th
  • Dec 1st, 8th
NOTE: Only the principals (main characters) are likely to be called for all rehearsals.

  • Monday Nov 21st - EVENING - LX Rig [Lighting Plot] /Fit-up (Crew -  adult cast welcome (needed!) to assist - please help!)
  • Sunday Nov 27th (RUN-THROUGH REHEARSAL - start time from 2PM) - all cast and crew
  • Monday Nov 28th - EVENING - LX Rig [Lighting Plot] /Fit-up (Crew -  adult cast welcome (needed!) to assist - please help!)
  • Saturday Dec 3rd - ALL DAY - LX Rig [Lighting Plot] /Fit-up (Crew -  adult cast welcome (needed!) to assist - please help!)
  • Sunday Dec 4th - AFTERNOON (TECHNICAL REHEARSAL  - start time from 2PM) - all cast and crew. Fast-track for Junior Youth Cast and Senior Youth Cast who have opted for Youth Rehearsal Times 
  • Monday Dec 9th - EVENING - DRY TECH PART 1 (Director, Assistant Directors and crew - no cast)
  • Saturday Dec 10th - MORNING - DRY TECH PART 2 (Director, Assistant Directors and crew - no cast)
  • Sunday Dec 11th - AFTERNOON (DRESS REHEARSAL 1  - start time from 2PM)  - all cast and crew
  • Thursday Dec 15th - EVENING (DRESS REHEARSAL 2  - evening - all Adult Cast, Senior Youth Cast, and crew - No Junior Youth Cast or Senior Youth Cast who have  opted for Youth Rehearsal Times 
  • Friday Dec 16th (PRODUCTION - evening) - all cast and crew
  • Saturday Dec 17th (PRODUCTION - afternoon and evening) - all cast and crew
  • Sunday Dec 18th (PRODUCTION & party - afternoon and evening) - all cast and crew​
Cost
  • Membership of The Crowborough Players (all cast members) costs £10 for under 18s and £20 for adults (other memberships are available).
  • What You Will Theatre (WyW Theatre) - Junior Cast and Senior Youth Cast (who have elected to join the drama fun)  costs £45 (includes 9 weeks of drama sessions). See www.wywtheatre.com for info.
  • Members of the Adult Cast and Senior Youth Cast (who are not joining WyW Theatre) pay a performance fee of £10.
  • Cast members will need to provide some items of costume.
Script Submission
If you fancy writing a script for Crowborough's Community Panto, please sent your outline submission with a sample script element to  [email protected]  by 15th April in the year of production.
